Issues.....that's really what it's all about. When there is a pressing issue or a situtation that we need to address, it's easy to attract people to a meeting or a trade show.
The evening was a huge success according to NYSCWA board member Paul Vallario. "I think everyone got a lot out of this meeting as the speakers were exceptional," said Vallario. "We were lucky to get them and and to learn so much."
The 18th Annual Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC), October 15-17 at The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ, came in just 15 shy of the event's record attendance of 1735 in 2003, said Julie Stanton, show facilitator. "I couldn't have been happier with this year's show," she said. "The quality of our seminars and show floor, coupled with near-record breaking attendance made it one of our best shows!"
Let’s face it, the last two years have been really tough for East Coast operators. It seems that nearly everyone I speak to is down and that’s not good. What our members seem to want is education on how best to combat the bad times so they can survive and ultimately prosper again when things turn around.

The first-time event for the state association attracted more than 80. Participants were able to enjoy each other's company while playing craps, roulette, black jack, or poker with the $1,000 in NYSCWA phony money they received upon arriving at the event.
